Limit switch LXT series introduction-1

2025-11-06

The following is an introduction to the LXT (Schmersal's model is TA) series of normalizing industrial control:

How it works

When the module on the moving part hits the LXT series limit switch, its internal mechanical structure drives the Contact to move and realize the switching of the circuit, thereby controlling the stroke of the mechanical equipment and performing limit protection.

Structural features

- Rugged and durable: Made of high-quality materials, such as metal housing, with a protection level of up to IP67, it can adapt to harsh industrial environments.
- Various actuator types: roller type, direct-acting type, etc., to meet the needs of different application scenarios. For example, LXT064-12y is a roller type.
- Adjustability: The actuator head of some models can be reinstalled and positioned at a certain angle to change the actuation direction, making installation and use easier.

Features

- High Precision: Using imported technology from Germany to ensure that every movement of the equipment is accurate and correct, the consistency of mechanical movement and contact switching is high, and it can accurately detect position and control stroke.
- Long life: The internal contacts are specially treated, such as gold plating, to reduce wear and oxidation, and the mechanical life can reach more than 100,000 times, reducing replacement costs.
- High reliability: It has an automatic reset function and can quickly return to its initial state after being triggered. It has strong stability and excellent anti-interference ability. It can work stably in harsh environments such as dust, humidity, and high temperature.
- Excellent electrical performance: can withstand higher voltage and current, such as LXT064-03y rated voltage 250V, rated current 10A, to meet the needs of a variety of industrial circuits.

Application Areas

- Port machinery: used to control the travel of equipment such as cranes and loading and unloading bridges to prevent over-limit operation and ensure operational safety.
- Mining equipment: realize position control and protection on mining hoists, belt conveyors and other equipment to avoid equipment damage.
- Metallurgical industry: such as rolling mills, blast furnace charging equipment, etc., to accurately control the movement of equipment to ensure smooth production processes.
- Machine tool equipment: Control the moving range of machine tool worktables, tools, etc. to prevent collisions and overtravel, and improve processing accuracy and equipment safety.
